John Duncan MacLean was a politician in British Columbia, Canada. He served as the Premier of British Columbia from 1915 to 1916. MacLean was born in 1868 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, and was educated in Scotland before moving to British Columbia in the 1890s. He began his political career as a member of the Liberal Party and was elected to the British Columbia Legislative Assembly in 1900. He held several ministerial positions in the government before becoming Premier in 1915. MacLean's term as Premier was short-lived, as he resigned in 1916 due to health issues. He died in 1920 at the age of 52.
